INTRODUCTION
editは、空間と物との関係性を大きなテーマとしてデザイン・製作されたプロダクトを展示発表し、新たなデザインの方向性を思索する事を目的としたものです。主に武蔵野美術大学工芸工業デザイン学科インテリアデザインコースで2014年から2019年の間に生まれたプロダクト作品の中から厳選し、編集・展示しています。 すぐに商品として展開できるようなデザインではなく、その物が生まれた背景にある考え方などが、未来のものづくりにおいて将来重要な意味を持つといったような事を大事にして、文字通り、試行錯誤を重ねたプロジェクトの展示です。
The purpose of “edit” is to exhibit and present products designed and produced with a large theme of the relationship between space and objects, and to think about the direction of new designs. Mainly selected from works born between 2014 and 2019 in the interior design course of Musashino Art University, Department of Industrial, Interior and Craft Design. It is not a design that can be immediately developed as a commercial product, but the fact that the idea behind the product has a significant meaning in the future of manufacturing is important. All the designs have been created after huge numbers of trials and errors. It can be said that it is a “work in progress show” in a sense.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Kazuhiro Yamanaka
山中一宏
東京生まれ。6才の頃より家具作りを始める。1997年、英国王立芸術大学大学院（Royal College of art) 修了。 同年, ロンドンにて, Kazuhiro Yamanaka Officeを設立。家具デザインから照明デザイン、照明インスタレーションまでを手がける。クライアントはヨーロッパを中心にパルッコ、リーン・ロゼ、ボッフィ、インゴマウラー、アレッシなどの企業、また世界中の美術館にわたる。2004 年、イタリア・ミラノサローネにて、サローネで最も優秀な新人に与えられる「デザインレポートアワード」最優秀賞を受賞。その他受賞多数。武蔵野美術大学工芸工業デザイン学科教授。作品の一部はニューヨーク近代美術館（MoMA）などのパーマネントコレクションに選定されている。
Kazuhiro Yamanaka graduated from Royal College of Art (London) in 1997. He participates in different aspects of design: from piece furniture design to lighting design and Installation. Current client list includes Pallucco, Ligne Roset, Boffi, Ingo Maurer, Saazs, Alessi and Museums worldwide. Awarded many prizes including Winner, Design Report Award 2004 (Milan). He has also appointed as a professor at Musashino Art University since 2014. His creation belongs to a collection of MoMA(New York).

SDANLEY DESIGN WORKS
2012年から台湾にてフリーランスデザイナーとして活動を開始。2018年、武蔵野美術大学工芸工業学科インテリアデザインコース大学院修了。 同年に東京にてSDANLEY DESIGN WORKSを立ち上げる。2019年にオフィス兼ショップのMOONBASEを設立。活動は台湾、日本、アメリカなとのグラフィックデザインや、家具、インテリアデザインなと多岐にわたる。
Sdanley Shen, started as a freelance designer since 2012 in Taiwan. After he graduated from Musashino Art University in 2018, he established his personal design studio ‘SDANLEY DESIGN WORKS’, which based in Tokyo. Now he engaging graphic design with different clients from America, Japan, and Taiwan. Also focus on furniture and interior design.
